Lunch at Cafe Breton

Yesterday, my friend invited me to have lunch with her at Café Breton located in Greenbelt. I readily agreed as it has been a long time since I ate at Café Breton.

When I used to work at the Supreme Court, my friends from work and I would eat at the Malate branch of Café Breton. We had to wait for this branch to open at 6 P.M. since we, as government employees then, were out of the office at exactly 4:30 P.M. (haha...those were the days)

Fortunately, this branch of Café Breton is open during mall hours.

Here is a yummy picture of what my friend ate (Blueberries and Cream - surprise! there are 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream inside)

And here is a yummier picture of what I ate (Le Magnifique – with nutella, whipped cream, nuts and bananas)

Yummy! There’s nothing like a chocolatey dessert to pick up a tired spirit. :-)

I think I gained an extra sweet tooth just looking at those pictures.

Can you describe what you had in more detail? It looks interesting and I'm thinking of trying to come up with something similar to cook...

Hi clint! Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my post. Me? I gained 2 more pounds. Why? I not only ate my order, but I also finished off my friend's dessert. Hahaha! It was a nice break from one week of diet food.

Hi mita! Sure! I'm sorry but I forgot to mention that Cafe Breton is a crepe place. So everything we ordered were crepes. For the Blueberries & Cream, there were 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream inside the warm crepe topped with blueberries and whipped cream. For Le Magnifique, there were sliced bananas inside the warm crepe, topped with nutella (available in bottles in groceries) and whipped cream and some sort of nut (i'm not sure if they were almonds...sorry...i'm clueless about these things).
These are best served fresh because the combination of the texture of the warm crepes and the cold ice cream is really something.

Mita> Yum yum! I'm sure your version will be even more delish! Hope I get to taste it too....hahaha! Good luck.

Clint> Unfortunately, they don't. :-( Although if they eventually deliver, my waistline will definitely get bigger. Haha! So it's better that they don't.

I've never been to that cafe before. But then again, I haven't been to a lot of places in years. Hope you had a nice weekend. ;-)

I hang out at Greenbelt almost everyday. Sad but true. I live right across GB1. The food looks good. Except, I'm on this new diet. That low carb thing. Oh yeah, beware of the horrible service that GB restaurants provide. Seriously, I wish I could do some customer service consultancy in the Philippines.

vegasfilamguy> That's a good idea... doing consultancy service. You must be in the food business then. I agree, sometimes their service sucks. Anyway, I hope you're having a good time here. :-)

No, i'm not in the food business. I do sales and marketing. So I'm quite used to serving excellent customer service. In the Philippines, I was discombobulated by what I saw. Such horrendous customer service.
