Holy Cupcake!!!

I was starting to get depressed with the incessant rainfall when my husband surprised me with this delightful box...

Cupcakes from Sonja's!!! Yipee!!!!
Unfortunately, one cupcake succumbed to the pressure of the long drive due to heavy flooding in Metro Manila....
But I was able to salvage this sumptuous ube piece...

As well as this chocolate delight...

The filling was absolutely wonderful...I think I just died and went to heaven...

And yes, those are my teeth marks....hehehe.

Cupcakes by Sonja can be found at the Serendra Piazza Ground Level in Fort Bonifacio. Check out this clipcast from ClicktheCity.com. Enjoy!!!

OMG!

Those cupcakes are beautiful. I don't think I'd have the heart to eat them ... ;P

I've never seen such cupcakes here before though. It's usually the normal ones; butter cupcakes without the cream on top.

Di pa ako nakatikim niyan, ah. *sniff* :-(

And did you know that the owner owes its brisk business to bloggers who kept blogging about her cupcakes? She admitted this in an interview with a magazine I think... so dapat may libreng box ka niyan for the free plugging, hehe. :-D

kyels> Hahaha...that's what I felt at first too. I was hesitant to take the first bite because the cupcakes would be ruined. Which is why I decided to take pictures of these beautiful and delicious cupcakes. Try it out the next time you visit Manila.

snglguy> Try it sometime...sarap talaga. And very sweet. If you don't like it too sweet, they have other flavors like the Flourless Chocolate cupcake (I think...).

About the free box...hmmm....sana mabasa ng may-ari yung suggestion mo...haha. Baka makatanggap ako box lang...walang laman!!!! Hahahaha. LOL!

myepinoy> Haayyy, I would gladly give you one cupcake....hirap lang magpadala through cyberspace....hehehe. Promise....sarap talaga.

momoftwo> My husband was laughing when he saw the expression on my face after my first taste....hahahaha...heavenly talaga. Maybe when you watch the US Open you can visit Magnolia Bakery in NYC. I'm sure mas masarap dun...

ipanema> Grabe, that chocolate-flavored one was my favorite. Had to ask husband to stop buying since I am on a diet. Planning to lose another 10 pounds before we can even think of having another baby...hehehe.

shinsetsuken> Hahaha...hope they don't drool or else their keyboards might get sticky! :-D Thanks for dropping by.

niceheart> Really delicious. But I think you'll also like the cupcakes of Magnolia Bakery in NYC where these cupcakes are patterned after. Sonja worked at Magnolia's for one year before returning home and opening a business of her own. It was Magnolia which started the cupcake craze. :-D Grabe, just thinking about cupcakes makes me crave for another one again.

rowena> Hahaha...sarap talaga. I really suggest you try the chocolate-flavored cupcake like the one in the picture. They also have other chocolate cupcake variations kasi. :-D Yummy!!!
