Travel Advisory Update (for ladies only)

I just saw a recent travel advisory update on CNN. Apparently, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in the United States started receiving feedbacks from passengers regarding the strict measures they have imposed as a result of the planned terror attack in Heathrow airport involving planes traveling to the United States. As a result, the TSA made some changes to their list of banned carry on items.

Passengers are still prohibited from carrying all kinds aerosols with them on board. However, under the new rules, travelers can take up to four ounces of non-prescription medicine, glucose gel for diabetics, solid lipstick and baby food, the agency said. Solid lipstick you say! Hahaha…I can just imagine the number of lady passengers who complained about not being able to bring with them their lipstick on board.

Saw an online US paper showing a woman putting on lipstick before dumping it in the trash. Bummer! I cannot go out without any lipstick! Gosh, there's going to be a lot of ugly women coming out of trans-continenatl flights from now on...

mita> hahaha...anyway, no more ugly ladies since solid lipsticks are now allowed. Darn...no liquid glosses though... But like what snglguy said, not my problem since I can't afford to go on a trip as of now.

pinay newyorker> Ouch indeed. Hmmm, I guess when in doubt just put everything in the check-in luggage. Better safe than sorry.

snglguy> Haha...me too, can't afford to go on a trip now. Lots of bills to pay. Anyway, I'm not sure if that's a blessing though...

A NY Times article mentioned a female passenger who had no other choice but to dump all her Chanel cosmetics before boarding the plane.

I never like to travel with hand carries except for my laptop and jacket. Until they see my luggage.

As for lipstick, bring japanese paper.:)

eric> Chanel? OUCH! Those things cost a fortune here. Tsk tsk.

ipanema> I usually have lots of stuff in my hand-carry. This'll teach me to travel light. :-)

What about my hair gel? I can't go anywhere without it. But then again, I can't afford to travel now either. :)

niceheart> Unfortunately, you'll have to put your hair gel in your check-in luggage in case you get to travel. We've all become prisoners of these terror attackers. :-(

jmom> Haha...that's a nice idea for a business these days. :-D Thanks for dropping by!

I went to Bangkok yesterday. They didn't even x-ray our suitcase. Neither did they check our passports. Hahaha! :)
